Easy and inexpensive home remedies to bid adieu to dry skin and flaunt super soft baby skin.

1. Discipline is the key

Having the latest miracle product on your shelf will not automatically soften your skin. You have to moisturise every day after your shower every evening after your wash and then moisturise some more.

2. Keep a moisturiser handy

Opt for the products for very dry skin and massage them into your elbows knees ankles every morning and evening. In fact fill in a few handy sized bottles and keep them in the car in your office and inside your purse and use them at every opportunity you get.

3. Oil massages

Try an oil massage with almond oil olive oil or even the more humble coconut oil before your shower also adding a few drops of oil to your bath water moisturises your skin and keeps dehydration and dryness at bay.

4. Avoid very hot water

While in the shower avoid very hot water as it is known to dehydrate the skin and avoid harsh soaps and shower gels that will dry out your skin.

5. Home remedy wonders

Home remedies like milk cream or ghee also work wonders especially on stubborn areas like knees ankles and elbows. You could also try home made fruit packs from bananas or papayas to moisturise your arms and legs. A honey and rosewater combination is good for moisturising the face and neck too.

With home remedies its a trial and error process. Moreover it takes time for you to see the desired results. So have patience and be regular with your skin care regime for soft and supple skin.
