Aushima Sawhney's Biography
The name Aushima Sawhney may not quite ring a bell and get immediately dismissed for being yet another newcomer round the corner. However, the fact is that this gorgeous leggie beauty isn't new to the world of showbiz and has made her big screen debut last year itself in ill fated DHOKHA.
Aushima, who would soon be seen in the role of a leading lady opposite Kunal Khemu in SUPERSTAR, was seen as the first love of lead protagonist Muzammil Ibrahim in DHOKHA. She had a small part to play in the film though she was present from start till the end of the narrative. The film was a box office failure but she along with the rest of the film's cast was noticed for her confident performance.
Now in SUPERSTAR, she would be seen again with an increased role as she gets to indulge into a song and dance routine too with her on-screen partner Kunal Khemu. Directed by Rohit Jugraj, SUPERSTAR is a commercial 'masala' fare and is all set for an 8th February release.
Her role models are her parents because they deeply inspire her as they have done so much for the poor and homeless.
She has studied Media Arts Production and Communication in University of Technology from Sydney. She has also studied Television presenting and acting in NIDA, Sydney.
Father works for the UN (ESCA) in Bangkok. Mother is Regional Director "World Youth" Bangkok.
She was a contestant for Miss India 2005.
